Chapter 26’s home flying field is a farm in
open country, because many of our Old-
Timer (OT) models are flown without
mufflers.

The VII SAM [Society of Antique Modelers]
Eurochamps was held in Suhl, Germany, June
10-14, 2009. It was sponsored by the Suhl
Modellsportclub, SAM 85, Graupner, and the
city of Suhl.

The 2010 SAM(Society of Antique
Modelers) Champs was held in Muncie,
Indiana, in mid-September. Those who are
interested in seeing detailed results of who
flew what, and with what success, can find
complete reports on the SAM Web site. Click
on “Breaking News,” where you’ll find reports
on FF and RC that are broken down by events
flown each day.
Old-Timers - 2009/08
THE 2009 SAM (Society of Antique
Modelers) Champs will be held the week of
October 5-9. Again, the site is the vast, dry
lake bed incorporated in Boulder City,
Nevada. With Las Vegas just down the road,
why not plan a week’s vacation?
