Micro-Flying

Joe Malinchak designed a micro 1/72-scale A-10 with 9.4-inch wingspan, using 18mm EDF units and lightweight Durobatics foam. Despite Hurricane Sandy, he completed it in time for the 2012 JR Indoor Electric Festival, achieving successful test flights.

The 2012 NEAT Fair, held Sept 14-16, had great weather and showcased indoor flying, including Cartoon Scale models. Highlights included new designs and a Lifetime Achievement award for Sergio Zigras.

Micro-Flying - 2015/05

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bomber was developed in the 1930s and helped pave the way to victory in Europe during World War II. The beautiful, four-engine aircraft was known for its ability to take heavy battle damage and still make it home from its missions.

Micro-Flying - 2015/03

The annual Horizon Indoor Electric Festival is held in early November in Columbus, Ohio. Terry Nitsch and his crew do an outstanding job of organizing and running this wonderful event. It is a great way to kick off the indoor flying season.
