AMA News: District II - 2008/02
AMA’S FORMER PRESIDENT, Dave
Brown, served 28 years on the Executive
Council (EC), with the last 12 as our
president. Dave was a true leader and the
Academy is what it is today because of his
strength, guidance, and foresight. Current
and future generations are indebted to this
man.

HISTORY WAS MADE at the January
2009 Executive Council meeting in Ontario,
California. For the first time, term limits for
AMA president, executive vice president, and
all district vice presidents were adopted. This
is significant because sitting vice presidents
voted to establish the date when they have to
step down to allow new people to step into
these volunteer positions.

snow on the ground but by the time that you

under warm, sunny skies.

THE CRADLE OF AVIATION Museum
is located in the Garden City area of Long
Island, New York. This jewel highlights the
wealth of history of aviation that exists on
the island. Most of the aircraft that were
designed and built in this region are
displayed in the museum in settings that
bring the flying eras together.
