Control Line Aerobatics
Joe Daly shares the journey of converting a B-17 stunt airplane from internal combustion to electric power. The project involved extensive design, testing, and construction, ultimately resulting in a well-flying model that surpasses its predecessor. After successful test flights, Daly looks forward to showcasing the aircraft at the 2026 CL Aerobatics Nats.
Control Line Aerobatics
The Vintage Stunt Championships 2026, held in Tucson, Arizona, from March 18-21, featured great weather and strong participation, thanks to over 29 volunteers. Events included Old Time Stunt, Classic, Super 70s, and a Ringmaster contest. Winners included Joe Gilbert in Classic and Jim Hoffman in Super 70s. The event concluded with an awards banquet recognizing volunteers and presenting awards for craftsmanship and sportsmanship. Attendance has been declining, prompting discussions about merging this contest with the Southwest Regionals.
