With most of the country seeing the first of its spring flying weather, I thought it might be a good time to talk about some of the things relating to electric flight. If you’re a seasoned electric flier, this will be a review, but if you got that first electric airplane for Christmas, this will help you avoid confusion and mistakes—I hope!

Big capabilities in a small package: My first impression when I took the charger out of the box was, “Wow, this is small!” I had done my homework and knew it had the capabilities I was looking for, but it still took me by surprise seeing it in person. Next I thought that this is great how it sits on top of its own power supply.
Great Planes Extra 300SP EP ARF - 2015/03
I have previously assembled a couple of Great Planes Scale electric aerobatic ARF aircraft and have been happy with them, so I had high expectations for the Extra 300SP. When the box arrived and I began unpacking the carefully packaged contents, I was already getting my hopes up.

REVIEW - 2015/01
My first thought when I saw the VQ Models P-47D on display at the Weak Signals Toledo Show, in Toledo, Ohio, was, “I want one!” Then I was told that the display model was the only one in the country. What a disappointment!
