TWO ELECTRIC MEETS start off this month's column. First, not too long after you get this issue, is the First Annual Lehigh Valley Radio Control Electric Fun-fly. This is a two-day meet scheduled for June 18-19 at the Lehigh Valley club field near Easton, PA. Complete details are not available as I write this, but all will be known by the time you read it! Ellis has been a regular attendee at the KRC meet for many years, and I know he knows how to have a good time at a meet-so you can look forward to a great time, too! I'll see you there.

AN ELECTRIC MEET has been announced by the Westmoreland Electric Soaring Society in the Pittsburgh (PA) area for July 17, 1988. The event will be held on the Mon Valley RC Club field, which is located in a state park and which is readily accessible from Exit 8 (New Stanton) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Bob Markle of RJM Systems sent me the early info, and for more details you can write to him at Unit #3 Sandy Hill Road, RD #6, Irwin, PA 15642. Don't let the "Soaring" part of the club name fool you-those guys fly all kinds of Electrics! Bob has been a regular attendee at KRC Electric Flys in the past, and tells me that the WESS group has 29 active Electric fliers of its own.

THIS MONTH I'll look at a range of reader input, some significant industry news, and the nature of speed control operational adjustments. What's rewarding about writing this column is reader input. It's also rewarding that readership is rapidly expanding; new names continually appear in my mail, in addition to the regulars. New readership continues to produce theme mail-repeat topics I've seen come in steadily over the years. One theme is the difficulty that is best characterized as "I'm the only one. . ."
Revolt!
The Revolt! originated in 1992 as a model that could be used to easily test fly a wide variety of Electric products. It is a simple outline, 600-square-inch cabin design with heavy Fifties and Sixties influence. It has a 12 1/2% thick flat-bottom wing section with decades of known good flyability. It employs proven incidence, moment arm and tail surface area proportions. The cabin and motor mount designs were developed to easily accommodate an unprecedented range of motor and battery systems with room left over. The entire framework design, wood sizes, etc. were all selected to support the intended goals.
