The Inside Loop - 2012/10
Your feedback is key to shaping this magazine
I have spent considerable time at
the newsstand looking at several
publications and even a few digital
edition magazines. Model Aviation made
a huge leap forward with its redesign
that debuted with the March issue, but
there’s always room for improvement.
Bob Smith Industries - 2010/11
IF YOU’VE EVER
shopped for CA or epoxy at
your local hobby shop,
you’ve probably seen and
purchased adhesives
labeled with the store
name. This private
branding was Bob Smith’s
idea.
Biggest Little Airshow - 2012/03
As modelers, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to fl y our aircraft
at some historic sites. Places such as Piper Field in Pennsylvania, Torrey
Pines near San Diego, and the National Museum of the US Air Force in
Dayton, Ohio, are a few that come to mind.
Where We Stand - 2011/04
LAST MONTH’S issue of MA featured a
strong call to all who love aeromodeling to
express their concerns about what appears
to be pending federal regulations on model
aviation. After two years of working with
FAA representatives, AMA leadership has
concluded that we might be on a path to
onerous and unnecessary restrictions on
various aspects of operating model
aircraft.
Great Planes E-Fest 2009 - 2009/06
FOUR YEARS AGO, when this event premiered, indoor RC
was crawling out of the nest, as it were. Digital spread
spectrum radios were coming onto the scene, and the GWS C
gearbox and a Speed 350 motor was the best place to start to
dial in your indoor-arena skills.
