CLUB RENEWAL TIME

I hope you had a peaceful and safe start to 2025. By the time this issue hits your inbox or mailbox, our team will be in the middle of club charter renewal. Have you renewed your club online or returned the renewal documents to AMA Headquarters? If you answered yes, thank you! If you just realized that you have been procrastinating, it is not too late!
Renewing your club charter with AMA is now easier and faster than ever! Complete the process online at www.modelaircraft.org/charter-renewal. Here is what you need to do:
- Log in to the AMA website to ensure that the system recognizes you as an authorized club officer.
- Complete the online renewal section. It’s quick and straightforward.
- Please be patient! We will process your club charter renewal as quickly as possible. Because of timing in the insurance industry outside of our control, we do not receive policy numbers until the middle of February. After they have been confirmed, we can start processing the insurance certificates for your flying site property owners. After we issue certificates, we will email your 2025 documentation to the designated contact officer for your club.
Please know that we are working diligently to have all information processed and emailed on or before the March 31 deadline.
Important: If it is available, please provide us with the email address for your property owner. This will allow us to email the insurance certificate directly to them instead of sending a hard copy through the USPS.
For the past several months, AMA has been dedicated to a significant initiative focused on increasing our membership. A collaborative team, composed of members from the Executive Council (EC), district associate vice presidents (AVPs), dedicated staff members, and valued volunteers, has been diligently working together.
This team has invested considerable time and effort in developing a diverse range of valuable assets designed to not only enhance the appeal of our hobby but also effectively drive both membership growth and long-term retention.
We are thrilled to announce that we will soon be revealing aspects of this project and sharing these exciting new assets with the rest of the EC, AVPs, Leader Members, chartered club officers, and the entire AMA membership community.
