The AMA Executive Council has announced the 2026 meeting dates: January 10, April 25, June 28, and October 24, with the Annual Membership Meeting on May 14 during Joe Nall Week. National Model Aviation Day will be celebrated on August 22, 2026. The AMA Foundation also honors seven new inductees to the AMA Model Aviation Hall of Fame for their contributions to the hobby, including Charles Legg, David Andersen, Earl Aune, Gary Fogel, Julie Parker, Larry Jolly, and Ralph Warner.

Tim Jesky, a dedicated model aviation ambassador, passed away on January 15, 2026, at age 74. A Vietnam War veteran, he served with distinction and was involved in model aviation leadership. He co-owned AJ Aircraft and supported veterans through DAV. In his memory, donations can be made to DAV Chapter 137.

Jean G. Pailet, a model aviation pioneer, passed away on February 6 at 94. Active for over 80 years, he was an AMA Hall of Fame inductee and award recipient, known for his designs and leadership.
